Guide: Effectively maxing Builder Base after OTTO rush


A significant observation about builder base I’ve made while in the middle of fixing my OTTO rush is that the order in which you upgrade defenses directly affects your rate of progression towards max due to the trophy loot system, unlike in the home village. This post gives a list of defensive upgrades that I consider significant, which means that, in a 1v1 situation, it changes the number of full attacks needed either either kill a specific troop or be fully destroyed.

Note that after finishing with gold upgrades for OTTO, your priority beyond all else is rushing **lvl7 Guard Post** to unlock five defending troops.

    My strategy after getting otto is different. Log in and maybe do one attack for the 20 points. Collect resources. Move back to the normal base. Its slow but its working. 😁
