Didn’t miss them by 10 tiles.
You can see the EA crater created right next to the AD, and as soon as that shot landed, you can see the orange shockwave damage rings expanding out. EA shockwave damage (20 to 35 damage depending on level of EA) is secondary and not nearly as devastating as the primary damage, but it’s enough to smoke bats (20 hitpoints).
At first I thought, it was the wizard tower that killed your bats, But Nah. It was the curve ball eagle shot. Damn unlucky.
