To not show their real base layout. So attackers can’t prepare in advance.
Just because it looks cool and it doesn’t hurt them at all. When in legend, you can choose which layout to defend with, and your home layout can be whatever you want.
I assumed it’s because they have so much loot and nothing to spend it on that they welcome people to attack and take it.
