[WAR] The Winstreaking Community – Leaderboards
I’ve decided to write this post to bring awareness to the fact the winstreaking community is tired of dealing with self-matching clans. For years, we were able to compete with those that wish to circumvent the games programming, but I knew when Supercell decided to end the ability to create accounts with missing defenses that we would no longer be able to intentionally copy rosters of the other clans in hopes of matching and ending their streak, otherwise known as a hunt.
As the last remaining clan with a streak above self-matchers, I watch the runner-up clan gain wins every 2 days. The difference is their searches take approximately 20-23min which is 3 times faster than I am able to find an opponent with some luck.
Along with the inability to match their search times, the addition of CWL every month added a 2 day time period where normal wars cannot be searched. If I happen to finish a war on the first day, I lose 24-36hrs of time that could have been spent in another war.
The reason I bring this up is the fact the war mechanic that makes preparation days 23hrs allows self-matching clans to do 15 wars in a 30 day time period, because their searching takes below an hour which makes their war duration slightly average below 48 hours per war. For me, if I repeatedly have over an hour search duration, I will end up with 14 wars in that same 30 day period and ultimately have a war end in within the CWL timeframe.
The entire community can’t gain any wars on any of the active self-matching clans and has resulted in the leaderboards being plagued by clans that aren’t even doing real wars.
Currently, Supercell’s measures against this are along the lines of restricting the same 2 clans from matching within a 30 day period. My suggestion is preventing the same accounts from being able to match each other, but with a time frame that is much lower.
P.S. would favor an incorporation of a war rankings within the game similar to legends league.
For an added point of view, the Terms of Service, Section 1.1 directly states win trading as a violation.
“Disrupt, interfere with or otherwise adversely affect the normal flow of the Service or otherwise act in a manner that may negatively affect other users’ experience when using the Service or playing Supercell’s games. This includes win trading and any other kind of manipulation of rankings, taking advantage of errors in the Service to gain an unfair edge over other players and any other act that intentionally abuses or goes against the design of the Service”
Supercell reserves the right to determine what conduct it considers to be in violation of the rules of use or otherwise outside the intent or spirit of these Terms of Service or the Service itself. Supercell reserves the right to take action as a result, which may include terminating your Account and prohibiting you from using the Service in whole or in part.
For those that don’t follow any leaderboards or are interested in what they look like:
https://www.clashofstats.com/rankings/clans/war-win-streak/global/1 tracks every single clan with the highest current streak
https://cocp.it/tops excludes all the self-matching clans for a more accurate representation, but includes any clan that ever had a streak.
https://cocp.it/hunt tracks the #2 clan that has been abusing the system for the last 3.5 years. As shown, they do 4 attacks on the same 3 accounts every war.
Their second clan roster:
TH10: #PJUC90RQ0 – 徐长卿
TH10: #Y0CGG2LV9 – 紫萱
TH10: #PRQJ02C9R – 景天
TH10: #PJCCJ89J9 – 唐雪见
TH6: #989U9JGRG – 云霆
For those that don’t understand why we can’t end their streak, their TH10s are equivalent to what a TH7 would be, but since you can’t make TH10 without buying both heroes and every useless defense, it’s impossible to lower the weight enough for the game to consider our clan a potential match. The matching system also takes account of what we call townhall parity, which in simple terms says 4 TH7s =/= 4 TH10s even though they are the same gold weight on the war map.
Major has brought it up with Darien on the SC forums. No response.
