1. My guess is it’s a result of rounding. The 40 is actually just above 40, let’s say 40.4. That rounds down to 40 so that’s what they show it as. The 19 is actually just above 19, let’s say 19.4. That rounds down to 19 so that’s what they show it as. But when you add 40.4 to 19.4, you get 59.8, which rounds up to 60 so that’s what they show it as.

2. Rounding, probably. There might be decimals after the seconds that aren’t shown, too.
